Beignet landais


In France, Mardi Gras celebrates the end of winter and the return of sunny days. It is customary to parade in costume and taste small, simple pastries and each region has its own traditions.

Today we are talking to you about the Landes beignet also called Crouchepette or Crespèt in the Béarnais, it is an old recipe. It is a large, very airy donut, with a texture close to a choux pastry and not greasy despite the frying bath.
