Sauce Tomate Basilic

 



  • 3 kg (6,6 lbs) tomatoes (peeled and cut into large cubes)
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 10 cloves of garlic
  • 3 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • 4 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 1/4 branch fresh fennel 
  • 10 leaves of fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
  • 3 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh black pepper (ground)
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Heat the olive oil in a saucepan. Add the garlic, rosemary, fresh thyme and fennel as a whole and fry for 2-3 minutes.
After 3 minutes, take it all out of the olive oil and add the tomato to the pot. After adding salt, boil the tomatoes for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Then turn the tomato into a sauce with the help of a hand blender and add all the other ingredients and pass it through the blender again. Let it cool down.
