Hachis Parmentier

Hachis Parmentier is a traditional French dish consisting of mashed potatoes and baked potatoes, chopped or minced meat and Lyonnaise sauce. The combination of these ingredients is then traditionally placed in potato skins and baked. The dish is named after the famous French inventor and nutritionist Antoine-Augustin Parmentier, who is always looking for new ways to incorporate potatoes into French gastronomy. Hachis Parmentier is known as the French version of the famous shepherd's pie. This delicious dish also provides a great way to use up leftovers from other meals.
